Privacy Policy

This policy describes what the Duobot browser extension and the site at appduobot.com do with information. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
What stays on your device
Almost everything. The following is kept in your browser's local extension storage and is never sent to us:
- Your settings: delays, keyboard shortcuts, Titan mode, natural errors
- Your Duobot totals: lessons run, XP, accuracy, average duration, time saved
- Figures read from your Duolingo account while you have it open: day streak, total XP, words learned and gems
The Duolingo figures are read using the session already active in your own browser, the same way the Duolingo page reads them. We do not receive your Duolingo credentials and we cannot sign in as you.
What we receive
- Google sign in. When you sign in we receive your Google account identifier, email address, display name and profile picture. That is the only identity we hold, and it exists so your subscription follows you between browsers.
- Subscription state. Whether your plan is active, when it renews, and the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers.
We do not receive the contents of your lessons, your answers, or your browsing outside of what the extension needs to work.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details go to Stripe directly and never pass through Duobot. Stripe's handling of that data is covered by Stripe's privacy policy.
Who else sees it
Two processors, both acting on our instructions: Supabase, which hosts the database and handles sign in, and Stripe, which handles billing. Nobody else. We do not sell your information, we do not share it for advertising, and there are no third party analytics or tracking scripts in the extension.
How long we keep it
Your account record lives for as long as the account exists. Ask us to delete it and it is removed, together with the subscription record, within 30 days. Anything held only on your device disappears when you remove the extension or clear its storage.
Your choices
You can sign out at any time, which clears the session from your device. You can ask for a copy of what we hold, or ask for it to be deleted, by writing to support@appduobot.com. You can remove the extension at any time, which ends all local collection immediately.
Children
Duobot is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who sees it, we will update the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the extension before the change takes effect.
