Duobot lives in a small dock on duolingo.com and in your browser toolbar. Take the tour below with the real panel, then read how each part behaves.
Interactive tour
Three buttons, three ways to work
Follow the little helper. Auto-Run plays whole lessons, it turns into Auto-Titan when Titan Mode is on, Auto-Solve fills in one answer and waits, and Solve & Skip answers, checks and moves on.
Mods
Study tools inside Duolingo's own screens
Mods are small changes Duobot makes to the lesson you are doing yourself. They live behind the puzzle piece in the panel, and each one stays off until you switch it on. Try them here: the lesson on the left is real enough to answer, and it changes the moment you flip a switch.
Click the words, pick an option or type. With Arrow keys on, the keyboard works too. On Free the yellow locks show which mods are part of Max.
Skip motivation cards
Passes the cheer up cards and the “let's review” screens between questions, in lessons you do yourself too.
Hide the sentence
Blurs the written sentence on questions that also have audio, so you practise by ear. Click it to peek.
Arrow keys
Arrows move between the options and the word bank in two directions, Enter picks, right arrow presses Check, Esc clears.
Audio bar
A player under the question with play, pause, a position bar, speed and volume for the sentence audio.
Dictate answers
A Speak button under typing questions. Say the answer and it is written in the field, in the question's language.
Study hints
Marks the right option and shows the next word of the word bank. For learning, not for racing.
Live typing check
An On track pill while what you type still matches an accepted answer, or the first word to look at again.
All solutions
After Check, a button lists every accepted answer, the one closest to yours first. Word banks too.
Check by itself
Presses Check a moment after you pick an option or finish typing, so all you do is answer.
Five are free. All fifteen are in Max.
Free keeps Skip ads, Skip motivation cards, Hide the sentence, Arrow keys and Audio bar, plus both toolbar icon options. Everything else on the Mods screen, the sound controls and the automations come with Max.

Two mods that change how a lesson feels: one keeps what you got right, the other takes the word bank away.
Remember answers
Duobot keeps the right answer of every question you check, in this browser only, and shows it the next time that question comes up. Turn on Fill remembered answers and typing questions arrive already filled in; you still press Check. Show space used and Forget all sit in the same card.
Hard mode
Swaps the word bank for a keyboard. You type the whole sentence and, once it is right, Duobot taps the words for you. Ignore accents accepts answers that differ only in accents or capitals, and Toggles in the lesson puts Hard and Accents chips at the top of every lesson.

Titan mode
A chain that finds its own next level
Titan levels are the hardest version of a unit you already finished, and they pay 40 XP. With Titan Mode on, Auto-Titan arms the chain; when one level ends, Duobot looks for the next.

It starts with the oldest
The chain begins at the oldest unit that still has a Titan and works forward through your path.
It scrolls for you
Finished units sit above where Duolingo drops you after a lesson, so Duobot scrolls up to find them. It never moves the page while a lesson is running or while you scroll.
It knows when to stop
Cleared Titans no longer award XP and are skipped. Once the whole path has been checked, the chain ends by itself.
Natural errors
Nobody gets every question right
Set how often Duobot misses on purpose, by mistyping a word or picking the wrong option. The number is roughly the accuracy you give up: 15 lands lessons around 85%.
Wrong answers cost hearts. On a plan with limited hearts you can run out and get locked out of lessons, so keep the rate low unless you have unlimited hearts.

Speed
Paced like a person, down to the letter
Every delay is separate, so you can slow down only the parts you want to look natural. Drag any slider below the Fast preset and the card turns red, the same warning the panel shows.
Sound
Every voice at the volume you want
The Settings screen of the panel sets Duolingo's sound apart for each kind of screen. This is the real one, try the sliders.
- Voice volume and voice speed, with Normal, Regular and Fast presets
- Effects volume, and separate levels for single words and character voices
- Where you hear it: listening questions, other questions and outside lessons
- Mute the effects while Duobot plays, so the ding stops and the voices stay
Sound controls are part of Max.
Reminders
A streak never dies because you forgot
Pick the times and Duobot shows a browser notification, with an optional note. The emergency reminder starts at 23:00 and nudges every 10 minutes until the day's lesson is done, or until midnight.

Automations
Streak Guard & XP Farm
Streak Guard checks your streak once a day at the time you pick. If today has no lesson yet, it completes one practice session for you. The XP Farm runs sessions until it reaches the XP you set, now or on a schedule, with a notification when it starts and ends.
High risk. Both stay off until you accept it. Automated activity is against Duolingo's terms. The farm sends practice sessions straight to Duolingo without opening a lesson, and Duolingo can detect it and restrict, reset or ban the account. Streak Guard can also fail: the browser has to be open at that time and you have to be signed in to Duolingo. Use them only on an account you are ready to lose.
Both are part of Max.

Your numbers, charted and on every browser
This is the profile screen from the panel, with example numbers. Open the range buttons, pick a custom period like a flight, or tick the family box.

Toolbar icon
Your streak, right in the toolbar
The Duobot icon shows your streak. With Colour by time of day the number is green once today's lesson is done, orange while there is time and red from 20:00. Show ! until the lesson swaps the number for an exclamation mark until you practise.
Right click the icon for your streak, XP, gems and words, links to a lesson, the practice hub, leagues and your profile, and Run Streak Guard now.
Both icon options are free.

Speaking questions
When a question asks you to speak, Duobot declines it the way you would, by saying you can't speak right now, and moves on.
One profile per account
Each Duobot account is linked to one Duolingo profile. It keeps the free plan fair and your stats in one place.
Report a bug
One click at the bottom of the panel opens an email to us with the page and time already filled in.
Your own shortcuts
Click a shortcut in the panel and press the keys you want. Esc cancels. Reset puts every delay and shortcut back to default.
Toolbar and dock
The same panel opens from the Chrome toolbar and from a dock on duolingo.com, and both stay in sync.
No trackers
No ads and no analytics scripts in the extension. Read exactly what is stored in the privacy policy.
Settings backup
Save every Duobot setting to a file and restore it in any browser, from the Settings screen.
One click updates
When a new version is out, the panel tells you and installs it in one click. Pick every update, big ones only, or none.
Signed in, even on Free
The free version needs an account too. Signed out, Duobot stays locked and no reminder fires.
